North Reading Little League held the 5th Annual NRLL/Tim Chaloux 12-Year-Old Appreciation Game on Fathers Day, June 18, at Benevento Fields. A total of 21 players participated in this year’s game, which saw the Hammerin’ Hornets defeat the Benevento Bombers, 12-7. The game is the league’s way of thanking its 12-year-olds, who are completing their Small Diamond careers, and is named in memory of Tim Chaloux, a former NRLL standout who died tragically in 2013 when he was a senior at the Pingree School.
