MELROSE — Claire F. Cronin passed away peacefully in Melrose Wednesday, Dec. 9.
Born Sept. 21, 1931 to Timothy and Helena Cronin of Somerville. Claire was the sister of Helen R. Cronin (deceased) of Melrose, Walter F. Cronin (deceased) also of Melrose, Madelyn Winn of Somerville and Ann C. Golini (deceased) of Brewster.
A loving aunt, she leaves 11 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews. Claire was raised in Somerville, attended The St. Catherine School and Somerville High School. She resided in Somerville for over 40 years before moving to Melrose where she lived for over 35 years.
Claire was employed by The John Hancock Life Insurance Company in Boston for over 30 years, where she made many longtime friends.
Always ready with a story or joke, she enjoyed family and friends, dining out and travel to local destinations. She was also an avid sports fan.
Burial services will be private. Arrangements by the Gately Funeral Home, Melrose.
