Korean War veteran; enjoyed aviation and novels

NORTH READING — Clifford H. Meuse, Jr., 92, of North Reading, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Winchester Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Betty Ann (Malone) Meuse.

Born in Stoneham on April 5, 1931, he was the son of the late Clifford H., Sr. and Martha (Doucette) Meuse. He was raised and attended school in Stoneham. Clifford was a Korean War veteran; he was a Corporal and he served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952. Clifford worked for over 25 years for General Tire in Reading. He was a resident of North Reading for the past 60 years and he cared about his community. He enjoyed aviation and reading novels.

Family members include his loving sons, Clifford, III and David Meuse; his brother Al Meuse and two grandsons, Christopher and Michael.

Calling hours were held on Wednesday, January 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., North Reading. Interment will be held on Thursday, January 18 at 11 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery, North Reading. A procession will leave from the funeral home at 10:45 a.m.
