WAKEFIELD — Collin P. Connerty, 19, died on Wednesday, March 1, at the Boston Medical Center.
Born in Boston on February 10, 1998, he was the son of Daniel J. Connerty and the late Jodi (Yeadon) Connerty.
Collin was born in Boston and raised in Roslindale before moving to Wakefield in 2004. He had recently graduated with honors from Matignon High School in Cambridge as a member of the Class of 2016. He was currently attending college at the University of Massachusetts in Boston.
Collin loved to ski, with his favorite destinations being Sugarloaf, Sunday River, Mount Sunapee and Waterville Valley. He enjoyed playing video games, listening to music, spending time with his friends and making others smile with his witty sense of humor.
He was a loyal employee at Market Basket in Reading for the past five years.
In addition to his father, Collin is survived by his stepmother, Martha Haley-Connerty. He was the brother of Rory Connerty, Matthew Haley and Lindsay Haley, all of Wakefield. He was the beloved grandson of Frances Connerty of Hingham. He is also survived by many, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Sean D. Connerty.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private.
