SAUGUS — Ernest F. Spicer Jr., 78, of Saugus and formerly of Wakefield, died Saturday, March 11, at the Melrose-Wakefield
Hospital.
Born November 7, 1938, he was the son of the late Ernest Spicer Sr. and Dorothy L. (Hoaglund) Spicer.
Mr. Spicer was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1956. He later enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was a longtime Wakefield resident and was a past member of the First Parish Congregational Church.
He was the brother of Stephen Spicer and his wife Mary Lee of Alton, NH. He was the uncle of Kerry Pinto and her husband Ralph of Dracut. He is also survived by a great nephew: Stephen Pinto and two great nieces: Carissa and Olivia Pinto.
Funeral services are private.
