WAKEFIELD — There were no injuries, but one car had to be towed after a four-car pileup on North Avenue yesterday at about 11:30 a.m.

Police said that a 2007 Hyundai driven by a 49-year-old Wakefield woman had stopped to let a pedestrian cross in a crosswalk, when a 2008 Nissan Altima driven by an 18-year-old Wakefield woman crashed into the rear of her car. A 2017 Toyota Camry driven by a 67-year-old Stoneham man then drove into the rear of the Nissan. The fourth car in the pileup was a 2015 Toyota driven by a 52-year-old Wakefield woman. The Nissan Altima had to be towed, but the other cars were driven from the scene. No citations were issued.

A Wilmington woman came to the Police Station at about 10:30 a.m. yesterday and reported a past hit and run accident that she said occurred while her car was parked on Bartley Street sometime between Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. The car sustained damage to the front drivers side.

A caller reported a road rage incident on Farm Street at about 11 a.m. yesterday. The man said that he was driving south on Farm Street near Nahant Street when a car stopped in the roadway in front of him, blocking his way. The man who stopped then got out of his car and appeared upset, according to the caller. He told the driver in the car behind him to “Get off the phone and pay attention or I will shoot you!” Police were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

At about 12:30 p.m. yesterday, a woman reported that he keys may have been stolen from the locker room of a gym on Broadway.

A 35-year-old man was taken to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital after he was found slumped over the center console of a car parked in the Prime gas station parking lot at Salem and Lowell streets yesterday at about 4:15 p.m. Police were initially unable to wake the man, but when they roused him he admitted to taking five Percocet pills after getting out of detox earlier in the day.

The Fire Department responded to 11 calls, 10 of which were for medical aid.
