WAKEFIELD — Frank C. Masiello, 65, of Wakefield, died on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at his home.
He was born in Lynn on January 6, 1954 and was the son of Eileen (Golden) Masiello and the late Frank Masiello.
Frank was most proud of his family. The best days of his life were spent with his six year old granddaughter, Isabelle, and three year old grandson, Jackson. And when his children were growing up, he loved long family camping trips under the stars in the White Mountains.
Frank never took any day for granted, always lived life to the fullest and relished in its small moments. It was important for him to create memories and special moments for everyone he loved. To know him was to love him. He was truly one of a kind.
Frank retired from General Electric in 2016 after a 43 year career. He enjoyed many hobbies, taking walks around his neighborhood and creating unforgettable Halloweens for the trick-or-treaters. He had a lifelong passion for motorcycles, enjoyed playing cribbage with his card buddies and wasn’t a stranger to a beer or whiskey tasting and enjoyed a good cigar…. Go Sox!
Frank was the beloved husband of Pat M. (Sardella) Masiello. He was the loving father of Tony R. Masiello of Dorchester, and Sara A. Malko and husband Markiyan of Wakefield. He was the loving grandfather of Isabelle Sophia, and Jackson Francis. He was the brother of Nick, John, and Steve Masiello, Julie Dionne and Eileen Brown. Frank is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
