MELROSE — The Gately Funeral Home is supporting veterans with a fundraiser evening at Giacomo’s Restaurant on Tuesday, October 22 from 5-9 p.m. at 454 Main Street.

Hosted by Giacomo’s co-owners, Richard Talieri and Joe Dinarello, the event features delicious food and fun, all while raising money for local veterans.

Gately Funeral Home, represented by John W. Gately, John H. Gately, and Fred Sprague, will be clearing tables and volunteering as bus-staff in the spirit of service. They will be joined by Alderman Scott Forbes, a proud supporter of veterans causes. Tip jars will be on tables to help reach their goal of $5,000 to be donated to the Melrose Veterans’ Fund. John Gately explains, “This will be a fun night for friends, family, and the community to come together to support our veterans.”

Giacomo’s Restaurant is proud to host this event. John W. Gately exclaims, “This is a great opportunity for our community to honor those who have served our country.” Giacomo’s Restaurant opened its doors to Melrose in 2016 and has already built a solid reputation of great food and service.

Beginning at 5 p.m., the event will run through 9 p.m.

The goal for the evening’s fundraising is $5,000, all of which will be donated to the Melrose Veterans’ Fund. Gately Funeral Home will be matching donations up to $2,500.
