ORMOND BEACH, Fla. — Henry E. Ramsdell, 90 years old, died Sept. 19 in the home of his daughter in Ormond Beach, Fla.
Formerly of Somerville and Wakefield, he was the beloved husband of Marie (Fuccione) Ramsdell, loving father of Hank Ramsdell and his wife Karen of Wakefield and Pamela Ramsdell. He was the devoted grandfather to Paul and his wife Alicia of Danvers and Craig Ramsdell, who currently resides in San Francisco. He was the great-grandfather to Vincent and Saina Ramsdell. Predeceased by his sister, Margaret Battaglioli. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Hank served in the U.S. Marines in World War II. He also worked and retired from the Somerville Police Department as a detective.
Mr. Ramsdell coached baseball from Little League through Intercity. Played Triple AAA baseball for Cincinnati and was a member of the New England Hobos.
Hank loved golf, his family and his retirement years.
Hank’s funeral services were private and he was given a military burial and a loving goodbye from his family members. Arrangements were in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
