ROCHESTER, VT — Jacqueline Marie (Cote) Malonson, 82, of Rochester, Vermont, passed away on February 23 at Rutland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Rutland, VT.
She was born on July 20, 1934 in Ashland, N.H., the daughter of Harry Cote Sr. and Rose (Ruell) Cote.
She graduated from Ashland High School class of 1952.
Jackie married her husband of 50 years Gerald Malonson on October, 24 1954. They were blessed with eight loving children. She was a homemaker for many years and was cherished and adored by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jackie’s unconditional love and devotion to her family was admired by everyone she knew.
She was predeceased by her parents Rose and Harry Cote Sr., her husband Gerald Malonson, two sons Gerald Malonson Jr., David Malonson, sisters Theresa Hooker and Harriet Cote, brothers Harry Cote Jr., Carroll (Butch) Cote and David Cote.
Jackie is survived by her children: Diane Bowen and her husband Marc of Rochester, VT, James Malonson of Wakefield, Teresa Bowen and her husband Eric of Rochester, VT, John Malonson of Weymouth, Michael Malonson of Weymouth, and Tina Lever and her husband Ron of Amesbury. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition, Jackie is survived by her siblings Lucille Crookshanks of West Virginia, Jane Killian of Alabama, Brenda Christian of Maine, Tim Cote of Massachusetts and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family is respecting Jackie’s wishes and will not hold a wake or funeral but a Celebration of Life to be held later this summer.
