WAKEFIELD — Joyce C. Elliott, 81, of Wakefield died Sunday, May 8, in Melrose.
Joyce was born in Manchester, N.H. on Jan. 23, 1935, and was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Ruth W. (Lee) Chadbourne. She was raised in Manchester, N.H., was a graduate of Manchester Central High School and later attended Fisher Junior College of Boston.
She was a long time active member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church and served the church as its secretary and was also a member of the Altar Guild of the church.
Joyce was the beloved wife of the late Ernest F. Elliott Jr. She was the loving mother of David Elliott and his wife Karen of South Windsor, Conn and John Elliott and his wife Natalie Cabral of Westport. She was the sister of John C. Chadbourne and Lee C. Burling of New York and the late Edward H. Chadbourne. She is also survived by her loving granddaughter Tabitha Cabral-Elliott.
Her funeral service will be in the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 5 Bryant St., Wakefield on Saturday, May 14, at 11. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
