LYNNFIELD — Residents will be able to learn about the mature trees in the Old Burying Ground while exploring their creative side with a Lynnfield Tree Committee Walk and Sketch at the 570 Main St. cemetery on Sunday, Nov. 3 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
“Stop to wander through beautiful local trees that we normally drive pass and familiarize your self with how to portray them best,” said Tree Committee Chair Jane Bandini. “Join members of the Lynnfield Tree Committee and the Lynnfield Art Guild as we walk the Old Burying Ground and learn about its mature and magnificent trees and easy techniques for capturing those trees in sketches with pencil and ink. Following a period of independent art creation, attendees will reconvene to share their creations. The Tree Committee will offer fall refreshments.”
This free program is suitable for all skill levels and ages eight and older, although an adult should accompany children.
“Please bring a chair and suitable sketching material: paper, pencils, pens and something to lean your work on,” said Bandini. “We look forward to sharing this program; only inclement weather cancels the event.”
The Lynnfield Tree Committee is online at LynnfieldTreeCommittee.org and any late notifications will be posted to our Facebook page @lynnfieldtreecommittee.
