MELROSE — Melrose Public Works along with JRM will hold a paper shredding and motor oil/gas/anti-freeze collection at the Public Works Recycle Center, 72 Tremont Street on Saturday, September 15 from 8 a.m. – noon. The cost for the event is as follows:

Shredding: 1 file box/household is free ($5 each additional box, checks only)

Motor oil/gas/anti-freeze: 2 gallons/household is free (excess is $2/gallon, checks only). Containers will be not returned. 

As with each Saturday event, DPW will also be accepting: TVs, monitors and laptops (all $20), metal goods ($25), tires ($2-8), mercury items, CFL bulbs, clothes, books and fired latex paint (all free).
