Had a fun-loving spirit and passion for family and genealogy

LYNNFIELD — Camille “Millie” Healey, beloved wife of the late David T. Healey, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

Camille was born in the North End of Boston in 1932. She grew up in East Boston until her marriage to David Healey in 1956 when they moved to and resided in North Reading for many years before moving to Lynnfield.

Millie had a fun-loving spirit and loved family gatherings with her many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. She was well known for her “Millie’s chili” at her niece Denise’s annual 4th of July cookout.

She had a passion for genealogy and spent many years researching her family history and that of her husband’s.

She was a devoted grandmother to her only grandchild, Jessica, and became known as Jessica’s “toast buddy” when Jess would spend many visits to grandma and grandpa’s house as a young child.

Dave and Millie were married for 60 years and enjoyed traveling and spending time at their house on Lake Sunapee.

Throughout the years Millie enjoyed finding a neighborhood breakfast place and quickly became a very well loved fixture of the establishment, making new friends and including old friends, especially her dearest friend, Joan MacDonald.

Millie was the devoted mother of Maureen Sicari and her husband Amedeo of Fitchburg, Sharon Armstead of Methuen and Virginia Healey of Methuen. She was the cherished grandmother of Jessica Armstead and the loving sister of John Venuti of Revere, Annemarie Schepici and the late Virginia DiSalvo. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and her beloved family dog, Jackson.

Her funeral service will be held from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St., North Reading (Corner of Park Street and Rte. 28 at the Reading line) on Thursday, April 13, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass celebrating Millie’s life at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter St., North Reading, at 10:30 a.m.
