Loved cracking jokes and playing mediocre golf
NORTH READING — Glenn Leroy Reynolds, 80, of The Villages, Florida and Forest City, Maine, passed away on May 24, 2023 after a short battle with cancer, with his family nearby.
Glenn was born on November 8, 1942 to Clifford and Ethel Reynolds in Stoneham. He graduated from North Reading High School in 1960 where he was bestowed the title of class clown by his graduating classmates. Glenn went on to study Aviation Mechanics at East Coast Aero Technical School before landing a job at the Quincy Naval Shipyard for two years. Glenn later left the Shipyard to embark upon his future career as a Senior Claims Adjuster for Allstate Insurance for 30-plus years.
Glenn married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Ann Gill, also of North Reading. Glenn and Pat went on to have three children: Glenn Patrick (deceased 1973), Todd Michael and Shawn Patrick. In 1975, Glenn, Pat and their two children moved to North Andover where they raised their family.
In 2000, Glenn retired from Allstate Insurance and moved to his beloved lake house in Maine for the summer months and spent the winter months in The Villages, Florida. Glenn began a mediocre golf career but always managed to keep smiling and laughing even when he was stuck in the rough. Glenn’s jokes and direct commentary will be sorely missed.
Glenn was predeceased by his father, Clifford; his mother, Ethel; and his son Glenn Patrick. He is survived by his wife Patricia of 57 years; son Todd and his wife Casey; son Shawn, his wife Holly; and two grandchildren, Brooke Hailey and Tyler Patrick.
