Avid bowler who enjoyed Bingo

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Jeanne F. (Morrow) Ivester, 96, of Manchester, N.H., and formerly of North Reading, died at her home on Thursday, June 6, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late John M. Ivester.

Born in Winchester on August 12, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (McCarthy) Morrow. She was raised and attended school in North Reading and was a graduate of Reading Memorial High School. Jeanne worked for New England Telephone and Telegraph, Sweetheart Plastics, C & W Transportation and she retired from the Agfa Corporation. After her retirement she worked part time for Marshalls in North Reading.

Jeanne was an avid bowler of the Candlewood Lanes in North Reading until the young age of 85. She enjoyed Bingo games at the Wakefield and Tewksbury Elks. She has been a resident of New Hampshire for the past 10 years.

Family members include her sons, John A. (Jackie) Ivester and his wife Wendy of Northfield, N.H., and Kevin Ivester and his wife Elaine of Tuftonboro, N.H.; her daughters Barbara Willis of Salem, N.H. and Robin Ivester of Manchester, N.H.; six grandchildren, Jake, Josh, Brianna, Matthew, Tedi and Tasha; eight great-grandchildren, Dylan, Hannah, Bella, Tommy, Thea, Nina, Maria, Rosalie and her protector Ginger. She was the sister of the late Ellie Bonfanti, Mary Burt, and Tony, Danny and Jimmy Morrow.

Her funeral will be held from the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., North Reading on Thursday, June 13 at 9:45 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter St. in North Reading.

Calling hours were held on Wednesday, June 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
