November sees 52 building permits issued around town

WAKEFIELD — During November the Building Department collected $14,012 in permit fees, down sharply from the month before and office professionals granted 52 building permits, 40 electrical permits, 22 plumbing permits and 33 gas permits.

According to the November report of Building Inspector John Roberto III, 97 building inspections were made; 66 electrical inspections were done; 30 plumbing inspections were conducted and 30 gas inspections were made.

In November, official professionals handled 71 zoning interpretation requests. Staff investigated 24 Zoning Bylaw complaints. Two sign permits were issued. Three buildings were razed. One permit was issued for a solid fuel burning appliance.

One Certificate of Occupancy permit was issued.

The total valuation of the permits issued was $985,159, a severe drop off from October’s $2.7 million.
