WAKEFIELD — Roland J. Muise, 87, of Wakefield passed away early Sunday morning, September 17.
He was one of 10 children born to John and Lena (Doucette) Muise.
He was raised in Lynn and attended St. Jean de Baptiste and graduated from Lynn Vocational and Technical Institute. He was a finish carpenter by trade.
He worked at C.L. Hauthaway & Son Corp. in Lynn for many years, retiring in 1992.
He married the love of his life, Rita I. Fenton, on September 10, 1950. They just celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary.
Roland is survived by his wife Rita, son Roland and wife Joanne (Green) Muise of North Andover, and his daughter Diane and her partner Rosanne Bourgeois of Westford.
He was predeceased by his daughter Donna (Muise) Quinn, who passed away in 2009.
He is also survived by his granddaughters Michelle (Muise) Kline and her husband Nicholas Kline and Amie (Muise) Davis and her husband Michael Davis, all of North Andover. He leaves his six great-grandchildren: Nolan John, Henry Roland, Calvin Michael Davis and Lucy Mae, Quincy Thomas, and Nellie Rita Kline, all of North Andover.
Visitation for family and friends will be at the Anderson-Bryant Funeral Home, 4 Common St., Stoneham, Thursday 5-8 p.m. The funeral will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Wakefield.
Burial will follow at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
