SOUTH BOSTON — Sean Benedetto Devine, 49, of South Boston and formerly of Wakefield, passed away on Friday, Dec. 25.
He was born in Melrose on Feb. 1, 1966 and was the son of Belinda (Benedetto) Devine and the late Richard L. Devine.
Sean was a graduate of Wakefield Memorial High School, Class of 1984. After high school, he attended Wentworth Institute. He was a resident of South Boston for the past 15 years and worked as a carpenter for the Local Union 26 in Wilmington. Sean was also a member of the Moose Lodge of Woburn.
In addition to his mother, Sean is survived by his wife Renee (Dingee) Devine and his daughter Noelle Veazie and her husband Jay of Stoneham. He was the brother of Richard Devine and his wife Denise of Wakefield, Maureen Rounds and her husband Ronald of Brentwood, N.H., Ellen Conley and her husband Michael of Wakefield and Lorraine Devine and her husband Kenneth Cresta of Saugus. He was also the brother-in-law of Lee Dingee and his wife Linda of Braintree.
Sean’s funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at noon. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
