MELROSE — Theresa (Muraco) Nappa, 97, of Melrose, died at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford on Nov. 10.
Theresa was born and raised in Winchester and was a graduate of Winchester High School. She resided in Melrose for over 65 years and worked in Catalog Phone Sales for Sears in Saugus for many years.
Theresa was an excellent cook and enjoyed candlepin bowling, ceramics and was a member of the St. Mary Church’s Emblem Club in Melrose.
She and her late husband enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, Florida and the islands. Theresa loved spending time with family on Suncook Lake in New Hampshire and her family was the most important part of her life.
She was the beloved wife of the late John Nappa Sr. for over 50 years. She was the loving mother of John Nappa Jr. and his wife Mary of north Chelmsford. She was the cherished grandmother of Adam and Lindsey Nappa, both of north Chelmsford. She was the caring great-grandmother of Alayna Nappa-Keefe. She was the devoted sister of the late Anna Merino, Frances Sylvester, Phil Muraco, Gaspar Muraco, Francis Muraco, Mary Casalinuovo and Grace Mistretta. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours were held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 8:30 to 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Herbert Street, Melrose at 10:30 a.m.
Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
