WAKEFIELD — Looking for somewhere to bring the kids to eat over February vacation?
Stop by Jeanne’s Ice Cream Shoppe & Diner all week long for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dessert. Jeanne’s will be donating 15 percent of all of its sales over February vacation to Wakefield Memorial High School Athletics.
Jeanne’s is a small family-owned diner that has been in business in Wakefield for just about a year now. The owners have children in the Wakefield Public Schools who compete on some of the WMHS athletic teams, so they are fully invested in the Wakefield schools and the athletic programs.
The owners are trying to spread the word about their new diner while also supporting the high school, so Brendan Kent, K-12 Director of Athletics, Health, and Wellness of the Wakefield Public Schools, is thrilled to be teaming up with them this week.
Supporting our local economy and a Wakefield family-run business, while also supporting the high school athletic teams. That’s a ‘win-win’ in Kent’s book!
There are no coupons that you need to present at the register. Just stop in any day Monday-Satuary and enjoy a warm hearty meal. Jeanne’s Diner is located at 93 New Salem Street. Diner hours this week will be: Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. though 3 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
Jeanne’s serves your typical diner foods, and they have recommended their signature egg sandwiches in the morning, and their “Warrior Burger” in the afternoon for lunch. Kent said it sounds delicious. He is excited to dine out at Jeanne’s this week. He hopes many of you join him.
