Longtime produce manager at Shaw’s in Somerville

STONEHAM — Andrew J. Galluccio, 80, of Stoneham and formerly of Wakefield, died on Monday, April 3, at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Born in Everett on July 7, 1936, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Cardello) Galluccio.
Mr. Galluccio was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1953, and the New England School of Design. He had worked for over 50 years at Shaw’s supermarket in Somerville as a produce manager.
Mr. Galluccio is survived by his wife Barbara J. (Moretti) Galluccio, his brother Robert Galluccio of Byfield and his sister-in-law Carol Ann O’Brien of Stoneham. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great great nephew. Mr. Galluccio was predeceased by his sister Lorraine Lariviere and his sister-in-law Jill Galluccio.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 a.m.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
