MELROSE — With the completion of the Melrose Highlands renovation project, the Melrose Traffic Commission recently approved updates to the parking plan for the Melrose Highlands neighborhood.

FIRE CAPTAIN JIM WINSLOW called it a career after 33 years fighting fires in Melrose and surrounding communities on January 19. He will be missed by those both inside and outside the department. The Group 2 shift commander for the past seven years, the captain began as a Melrose firefighter in July 1983. Congratulations Jim on always doing the job well.
