WAKEFIELD — Darinka Jankovic, 90, of Wakefield died on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the Genesis-Wakefield Center Nursing Center.
Born in Foca, Bosnia on August 10, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Milan and Janja Ivanovic.
Ms. Jankovic had been a Wakefield resident for the past nine years. She moved to Malden from Dubrovnik, Croatia on August 26, 1998. Ms. Jankovic was a single mother who dedicated her life to her children. She was a happy person who always helped people and was always surrounded by young people. Her favorite colors were yellow and purple and she loved fashion.
She is survived by her son Miladin Jankovic of Malden, her two daughters; Milenka Janevska and her husband Lambe of Ohrid, Macedonia and Rada Frohlichstein and her husband Tom of Wakefield, her six grandchildren; Zana, Danijel, Silvana, Igor, Mila and Tommy and her two great-grandchildren; Maksim and Matej.
Her funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 12 noon. Family and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
