Wakefield native, WHS graduate
WAKEFIELD — Eleanor T. Neeb, 86, of Wakefield died Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the Nevins Nursing and Rehab Center in Methuen.
Born in Wakefield on Dec. 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Owen A. and Rena (Curran) Kenney.
Eleanor was a lifelong resident of Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1946. After graduation, she had worked at Crystal Telephone Company for seven years. She was a parishioner at St. Joseph Church where she was also a member of the Mothers Association for many years.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Neeb. She was the loving mother of Robert K. Neeb and his wife Susan H. of Wolfeboro, N.H., William F. Neeb and his wife Rosemarie of Billerica and Karen J. Donnelly of East Hampstead, N.H. She was the sister of Alice M. Lyons of Malden, Kathleen R. Raymond of Phoenix, Ariz., and the late Ruth Gardner and Paul J. Kenney. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held from McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield, at 11 o’clock.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
