AYER — Lena L. “Lee” Coviello, a four-year resident of Nashoba Park Assisted Living in Ayer and former longtime resident of Wakefield, entered into eternal life on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 at Apple Valley Nursing Center in Ayer, following a lengthy illness. She was 92 years old.
Lena was born in Guilford, Vt. on July 22, 1922, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary (Smith) Coviello. She grew up in Wakefield where she was educated in the Wakefield Public School system and graduated from Wakefield High School.
Lena worked as an executive secretary for Honeywell Corporation for many years and retired in 1987.
Lena was the devoted sister of Mary Hanley of Chelmsford, Ella Stanley of Concord, N.H. and the late William Coviello, Christine Anderson, Evelyn Giacalone and Marshal Coviello. She was the loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lena’s funeral Mass on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m. in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield. Burial will be private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
