Longtime Waltham resident, member of St. Joseph Parish

WAKEFIELD — Margaret R. Venuti, 86, of Wakefield formerly of Waltham, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Born in Waltham on March 16, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Sarah (Allia) Orifice.
Mrs. Venuti was a graduate of Waltham High School, Class of 1947. She had been a Wakefield resident since 2001 and was a member of St. Joseph Parish. She had previously been a longtime Waltham resident.
She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas A. Venuti. She was the loving mother of Anthony Venuti and his wife Carol of Tewksbury, Stephen Venuti and his wife Diane of Barrington, R.I., Mark Venuti and his wife Linda of Tavares, Fla. and Linda Rowe and her late husband Lawrence Jr of Wakefield. She was the sister of Salvatore Orifice, Lena Lamore, Marion Anthony and the late Frances Giordano, Virginia Fanara, Jeannette McIsaac, Rose Violette, Adeline Compardy and Santo, Luigi, Sebastian and Philip Orifice. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
