THE MELROSE High girls’ tennis team kicked off their season this past week and are off to a nice 1-1 start. With details not available at press time, Melrose picked up a big 4-1 win over Reading on Tuesday. The team, led by captains Ava Picone and Kunsang Wogthing, boasts big numbers and, with 14 returning players, should enjoy even more wins this season. See next week’s edition on their early win!
