NORTH READING — Youth Services is partnering with Embrace HR, the North Reading Fire Department and other local stakeholders by offering Youth Services Academy (YSA) for the first time to students who will be in high school this fall.

The emphasis will be on preparing youth for their future by highlighting their strengths and developing their resumes, interviewing and life skills, including CPR and AED training.

Sessions will be held in-person on three consecutive Mondays in August:

• Aug. 9 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at North Reading Town Hall, 235 North St. in Room 14: Resume Writing with Hayley Wells of Embrace HR.

• Aug. 16 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at North Reading Town Hall, 235 North St. in Room 14: Mock Interviews with Jen Ford, Director of Youth Services, and other town government stakeholders

• Aug. 23 from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. at the North Reading Police Station Training Room, 152 Park St.: First Aid/ CPR/ AED Certification with personnel from the North Reading Fire Department at a cost of $25.

Youth participants will need to bring their laptops or tablets because there will be minimal advance preparation for each session. Additional details will be emailed to participants upon registration.
