WAKEFIELD — A Valley Street homeowner is taking an inventory of his home to determine if anything was stolen during a possible break-in reported yesterday at about 4:15 p.m.
Police went to the Valley Street home, which is off Melvin Street, and spoke to the homeowner about damage to a door on his garage. It was not known whether the garage was detached or attached to the house but several planks from the door had either been kicked out or pried out with a tool such as a crowbar.
A neighbor alerted the man about the damaged door as soon as he arrived home.
Police are now looking into the matter and the man is checking his garage and home for items that may be missing.
