NEWINGTON, N.H. — Richard E. Sullivan, 63, of Newington, N.H., and formerly of Wakefield, died Monday, May 16.
Born in Melrose on Jan. 8, 1953, he was the son of the late Eugene R. and Anne T. (McGrath) Sullivan.
Richie was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1971. After graduation he went on to attend Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.
He had been a longtime resident of Newington, N.H. and worked as a self-employed general contractor.
He was the beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Riley) Sullivan. He was the loving brother of James D. Sullivan, Anne C. Alsmeyer and Noreen M. Wright. He is also survived by many adoring nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 o’clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Interment will be private.
