Voters back new WMHS

WAKEFIELD — Voters overwhelmingly approved building a new $274 million Wakefield Memorial High School during a Special Election Saturday.

Less than 25 percent of the town’s 19,455 registered voters turned out for the election. The unofficial result was 3,427 to 1,430.
