SANBORNVILLE, N.H. — Michael C. Christopher, 64, of Sanbornville, N.H., formerly of Wakefield died Saturday, December 15, 2018.
Born in Melrose on August 25, 1954 he was the son of the late Calvin and Ethel (Williams) Christopher.
Mike was raised in Wakefield and was a member of the first graduating class of the Vocational High School in 1973 where he majored in architectural drafting. While in high school, he met his wife, Christine Lamb and they were married in 1980. Mike was a sportsman and an avid hunter and fisherman. He also had a deep appreciation for history. In addition to his independence, he will be remembered by his family and friends as a good man who was always willing to help others.
He was the beloved husband of Christine (Lamb) with whom he shared 38 years of marriage. He was the brother of Daniel Christopher and his wife Judith of Lebanon, Maine, Patricia Ingersoll and her husband John of Norway, Maine, Paula Gaudreau and her husband Edward of North Reading and the late Paulette A. Christopher. He was the brother-in-law of Karen Rogers of Grafton, Debby Rhoades of Revere, and Keith Rhoades of Wakefield. He was the son-in-law of James Lamb and Inge Lamb. He was the nephew of Anthony Christopher of Salem, N.H. He was the uncle to many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was the best friend to Pattie Madore, Bobby Grant, Susan Simone, and Jimmy Hall. He is also survived by his dog and “little buddy,” Rocky.
Funeral service in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
