WAKEFIELD — Audrey Ann Mancini, 82, of Wakefield died on Thursday, June 9, at Wingate Family Hospice in Melrose.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Nov. 20, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Domenica (Lombino) Graziano.
She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Mancini. She was the loving mother of Steven J. Mancini and Susan P. Lucey of Wakefield, John J. Mancini Jr. of Saugus and Laurie Mordaunt and her husband Michael, also of Saugus, and the late Michael P. Mancini. She was the loving grandmother of Nicholas, Lisa, Brendan and Jacqlyn. She is also survived by Thomas J. Lucey.
Mrs. Mancini grew up in Brooklyn and at the time was an avid Dodgers fan. She graduated from Malden High School in 1952.
After raising her five children, she went on to work as a typesetter for Williams Graphic Service, where she remained for 18 years. Mrs. Mancini had a great love of books and was a wonderful cook.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
