Making the town a better place

AN ON-GOING objective of the Wakefield Garden Club (WGC), members removed spent summer blooms for an autumn theme at the Welcome to Wakefield sign at the corner of Church and Main streets. They used chrysanthemums, cabbage and pumpkins and corn husks alongside Autumn Joy sedum and hosta.
