WMHS graduate was a carpenter

Canestaro-obit-webWAKEFIELD — Christopher S. “Chris” Canestaro, 35, of Wakefield, passed away February 9.
He was born on May 11, 1981 in Stoneham to Carmen Canestaro and the late Stephanie Lopez DiGiacomo. He attended Wakefield schools and graduated from Wakefield Memorial High School, Class of 2000.
Chris was a carpenter who enjoyed using his talents helping friends and family on personal projects, and was successful in many construction endeavors. Chris had many life long friends, and will be remembered for his immense heart. The highlight of his life was spending time with family and most of all, his beloved son Aaron.
Christopher is survived by his loving father and stepmother, Carmen and Susan Canestaro; his son Aaron Canestaro and Aaron’s mother Kelly Curran; his dear brother and best friend, Micah Canestaro and fiancée Lidiani Milagres; step-siblings Melissa (Kevin) Hyde, Marc (Christy) Etienne and Maria DiGiacomo; his loving step grandparents Donald and Marion MacQuarrie, aunts and uncles Lynn and John, Alex, Stephen and Michele, Joe and Rose and Rich. His first cousins, Giancarlo, Lesley (Jakob), Korina, Dylan, Marcus, Gabriella, and Stephanie (and spouses) all of whom he treasured dearly. Chris was an admired uncle of Jacob, Brayden, Joshua, Liam, Tiana, Brandon and Ty.
Memorial service will be held at Calvary Christian Church in Lynnfield Friday, February 17, at 11 a.m.
