LYNNFIELD — A Cub Scout Lion Den is forming for Lynnfield boys who were 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2016.

The Lion Den boys and their parent or guardian will meet on the first Saturdays in March through June for one hour.

“They will be introduced to some of the fundamentals of Scouting, make new friends, and get outside for some fun mini adventures.  If the boys and their parent wish, they can move on to a Tiger Den for first grade age boys,” stated Pack 48 Cubmaster Jim Squadrito.

The boys wear the Lion Cub Scout hats and T-shirts as their uniform. They use an activity book and track their progress toward completion of the requirements, Squadrito added.

Enrollment in Cub Scouts is open throughout the year. Parents who believe their son would be interested in joining the Lion Den are asked to contact Squadrito at 978-501-1776 or jsquadrito@gmail.com.
