Warrior Soccer Players of the Week

THE NORTH Avenue Diner and Hunt's Photo want to congratulate Zack Dascoli and Grace Hurley for being named Wakefield Memorial High School Varsity Soccer Players of the Week. This week's Player of the Week for girls' soccer is Grace Hurley.  Grace is a senior co-captain of the team. In both games against Lexington and Reading, Grace played multiple positions, starting at center-midfield, to striker, to outside-midfield, and back through again.  She can transition from position to position seamlessly with speed, skill, and agility.  Her touch on the ball is unmatched and she can take on an opponent in a 1 vs. 1 situation, beat them and find space to help her team move from defense to offense. Grace consistently creates opportunities for her teammates, including serving the season's first assist to senior teammate Sarah Grady.  Additionally, the effort that Grace puts forth is remarkable as is her leadership. She sets the tone for focus and resilience and clearly leads by example.
